My name is Dan, I was born in Southern California and raised on the island of Guam. After high school, I served in the United States Air Force for almost 22 years. After moving my wife and 3 children around the world and back, to assignments in New Jersey, South Korea, Central and Southern California, Italy and Nevada, I decided to retire and hang up the uniform to be more present for my family. I had become an expert at moving and finding places to live during the time I served and felt like this would be the perfect profession to transition into. Uncle Sam moved us from San Diego, CA to Nellis AFB in 2013 and we have called Las Vegas (the 9th Island) home ever since. In my free time, I love to travel and BBQ with friends and family. I have been active with the Nellis AFB Asian Pacific American Association since 2014 to keep my family connected to our Hawaiian/Chamorro heritage. I also love to volunteer at the USO's on both Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases and give back to our troops, as often as I can.
I learned many valuable lessons in the Military. I was able to complete my BS in Business Management, as well as a Human Resource Management degree, before completing my MBA. I planned, trained, recruited, managed and led my people as a Top Military Recruiter and a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer and truly cared about them and their families. I believe these skills and passion for helping others translate seamlessly to where I continue to serve, while helping others achieve the dream of home ownership. I utilize my exceptional negotiating and marketing skills to ensure my clients get the best deal possible, on terms THEY are happy with. Dan was a highly recommended name when my wife and I began our search for a realtor. As an active duty military family, we greatly appreciated his understanding of what the service requires and the strains it can place on things. He was everything he was recommended to us to be and he had answers for all of our needs! His effective communication and timely responses were top tier! Even while he was on vacation he ensured to look out for our needs. He treated us very professionally and went the extra step to have a trusted partner be there for our builder/buyer walk-though while he was out of town. He never left us hanging or wondering if things were done properly. My biggest note to Dan’s character was that he listened to our asks in the beginning and he respected them the entire time he represented us. He never pressured us in any way but he made sure to present us with important information for us to think on while making important decisions. He also has a wealth of networking connections that were very useful for us after closing! He even helped us while we left town, the day after closing, just to ensure we got something done to our home that we wanted to happen prior to our move in! Dan is the man! Dan Merrill is the best realtor!!! His level of knowledge regarding purchasing a home in Las Vegas is unmatched. I talked to other realtors in Las Vegas and they do not measure up to Dan. Went it was time to go see houses, Dan made us feel comfortable and was very patient on answering every single question my wife and I had. Dan was always available, day or night, even on the weekends; he always got back to us within minutes. His negotiations skills are second to none, he was able to get us in contact with different vendors for upgrades to the house and we’ve been extremely impressed with their service. Overall, my wife and I don’t have enough words to say “Thank you” to Dan or can’t recommend him enough. Not only is Dan the best realtor, he’s actually a friend that we can count on.
